SpeakUpCIC are committed to ensuring that the voice of service users is heard, listened to and valued to help shape and improve mental health services for all. We are committed to ensuring that feedback and experiences are shared with commissioners, decision makers and providers to help them make improvements, fill gaps where provision is needed and develop services that meet people’s needs to bring about positive change.

We work collaboratively with, for example: KMPT (Kent & Medway Partnership Trust), KCC (Kent County Council), the ICB (Integrated Care Board responsible for commissioning services), mental health providers and EK360. We participate in consultations and surveys and invite representatives to engagement forums to meet with service users to listen to feedback about existing services and gain views about new services being planned to ensure that people are involved in shaping services at all levels and that public money is spent where it is needed most.

Have Your Say About Mental Health Services

Your voice can help to make a difference. By sharing your experiences, you can help improve services for yourself and others. SpeakUpCIC collects feedback about experiences, including issues, complaints, concerns or compliments. Feedback is taken in confidence and collected by whatever way works best for you. This can be by having a one-to-one conversation over the phone, in-person, via email or completing and returning the form.

You can also provide feedback on somebody else’s behalf – such as someone you care for, a family member or a client. All feedback will be shared with the appropriate decision makers, providers and agencies anonymously on your behalf. So, if you have something you wish to say – we want to hear from you!

Service User Voice Representatives

We also provide opportunities for people to become service user
representatives to attend meetings with strategic partners and speak up on behalf of others. So, if you would like to join SpeakUpCIC to champion for positive change across Kent and would like further information, please let us know.
